MCCL March for LIfe, St. Paul
Sunday, Jan 22nd
Time: 2 p.m.
South steps of the Capitol Building
The MCCL March for Life begins at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 22, outside on the Capitol steps south of the Capitol building (in case of severe weather, check the MCCL website for updates). Parking is available in several nearby locations (also see map). Several thousand people typically attend the March, so available parking spaces fill up. Another option is the light rail Metro Green Line, which stops at the Capitol. Churches and other groups arrange for buses from St. Cloud, Rochester and many other locations; contact local pro-lifers for information.
Before and during the March, MCCL hands out signs at a table below the lower Mall steps. We also offer a printed program to anyone who wants one. Marchers follow a circular route around the Mall grounds, marching from 2 - 2:30 p.m.
Then at 2:30, marchers gather for the pro-life program held on the Capitol steps. It includes an opening prayer, greetings from MCCL President Leo LaLonde, a brief keynote address, and introduction of lawmakers in attendance. The program concludes by 3 p.m. Some citizens meet with their own state lawmakers after the March for Life.

The March for Life began in Washington, D.C., as a small demonstration and rapidly grew to be the largest pro-life event in the world. The peaceful demonstration that has followed on the somber anniversary of Roe v. Wade every year since 1973 is a witness to the truth concerning the greatest human rights violation of our time, legalized abortion on demand.
The March for Life Rally will take place at noon on the grounds of the Washington Monument, near the corner of 15th Street and Constitution Avenue. Following the Rally, the March will begin on Constitution Avenue between 15th and 17th Streets at approximately 1:00 pm.
